Please note the following re-surfacing works will be taking place for approximately 2 weeks commencing 29/10/2018. The road will remain accessible until 6th November when it will be closed as per the schedule below.
- The resurfacing and associated works will take place from the junction with Cavendish Road to Tangley
- Works are due to start 29/10/2018 and are set to last two weeks concluding on 09/11/2018
- Works are being carried out by Iain Marshal Surfacing
- 29/10/2018 – signage will be set up as required. Start works installing granite sets around storm water gullies – Road open as normal
- 30/10/2018 – continue installing granite sets around storm water gullies – Road open as normal
- 31/10/2018 – relay existing granite sets in several places – Road open as normal
- 01/11/2018 – raise all iron works to appropriate levels – Road open as normal
- 02/11/208 – break out necessary areas and lay base coat tarmac accordingly – Road open as normal
- 05/11/2018 – plane off existing surface half road at a time – Road open as normal – take extra care when passing through works
- 06/11/2018 – lay new surface – Road closed from 08:00 until 16:00 – Access for local residents via pedestrian access. Diversion signs will be installed as required
- 07/11/2018 – lay new surface and reinstate road markings – Road closed from 08:00 until 16:00 – Access for local residents via pedestrian access. Diversion signs will be installed as required
