Dear Residents

Unfortunately, we have been made aware of an incident that took place over the weekend. We are unable to share any further details as this is an ongoing Police matter. We would like to remind residents to be extra vigilant and ensure you check the security of your home and possessions. Burglaries can and will happen, but you can take measures now to reduce the risk of becoming a statistic.

  • Make regular checks of your boundary, looking for any obvious damage to fencing or planting where access could be gained.
  • Keep an eye out for any unknown or unusual items being left by windows or doors that could be left as a marker for gangs to identify properties not regularly occupied.
  • Keep outdoor furniture secure and away from the main building (they could be used as climbing frames to balconies).
  • Ensure any Lighting, CCTV and alarm systems are regularly serviced and turned on when applicable.
  • Provide any keyholders with the SGH security gate numbers to alert them of any alarm activation’s so they can provide immediate support and surveillance. (Brooklands Gate 01932 830402, Old Avenue Gate 01932 830401)
  • Report any suspicious activity immediately to the SGH security team at the Brooklands or Old Avenue gates so the patrol can investigate, then call the police on 101 to report your concerns.
  • If you feel you or anyone else is in immediate danger, then call 999
