In his final commitment to the Army, Colonel Richard Maundrell, the new GM/CEO, attended the Service of Thanksgiving for HRH The Duke of Edinburgh at Westminster Abbey on Tuesday 29th March.
During a varied military career, Richard spent three years on secondment to Buckingham Palace as Prince Philip’s Equerry / Chief of Staff, 2006 – 2009. During this period, he was responsible for the planning, briefing and management of Prince Philip’s programme (350 engagements a year) and accompanied HRH throughout. In recognition of this contribution, Her Majesty The Queen appointed Colonel Maundrell to The Royal Victorian Order (the Royal Family’s Order of Chivalry).
