COVID 19 – Update

Dear Resident

Together with the Board of Directors, we would like to thank all of you that are doing your best to comply with the Governments advice during this difficult period of time. There has been a significant change over the past week and we want to up date you as to what we are doing to assist and comply with the guidelines. We must emphasise, this update is subject to change at short notice as guidelines change for the better or worse.

SGH staffing

We have decided to close the main office and all admin staff will be working from home. To enable us to continue to service you all as close to normal as possible, the staff have all been issued with remote access and will receive and respond to emails as normal mail@stgeorgesra.com, finance@stgeorgesra.com. If you wish to talk to someone, we ask that you call the estate office at the Brooklands road entrance 01932 857832 where we have an answer machine if no one is immediately available, or if urgent please call the security gate 01932 830402

Gary Whalley Estate Manager – garywhalley@stgeorgesra.com07766540435, Paul Scott Operations Manager paulscott@stgeorgesra.com07880 707989 and David Smith Security Manager david.smith@stgeorgesra.com –  07557 912240 will be rotating their time on site to assist where necessary and either one can be contacted at any time.

Our maintenance and traffic management team will be operating as required and we ask if you are expecting a large lorry delivery to email trafficcontroller@stgeorgesra.com with as much notice as possible to ensure we can expedite the delivery.

Resident assistance

Some residents have already registered as self-isolating or are within the vulnerable person category. We have also received a large number of residents offering assistance for these people, for which we along with them are extremely grateful. Anyone that feels they may need assistance either now or in the future please email lauren.gillbanks@stgeorgesra.com or mail@stgeorgesra.com and we will pair you up with a suitable helper. Anyone wishing to offer assistance please email also to the same address.

Security

At this time security is seen as an essential service and the industry is seeking clarification going forward. This means that at this time we are continuing as normal with gate access control and regular patrols of the estate. In addition, we have introduced an additional patrol during the day to offer assistance to residents and boost our surveillance operation. The team will also be monitoring numbers of people moving around the estate and will stop and advise groups of 2 or more people of the government guidelines. They will also be randomly stopping people to ensure they are residents so please do not be offended if asked. All staff have been briefed clearly on NHS guidelines as to theirs and others safety.

Gardeners

Individual gardeners are currently not being restricted but more than one at a house is considered not consistent with the Government guidelines and will be stopped. We would recommend you do not interact with gardeners and see if payments can be made online through bank transfer. Remember this is for your own safety to reduce any risk of viral transfer.

Garden Waste Collection

As you are aware we have had to reduce the garden waste collections to just one a week due to contractor availability and to reduce movement around the estate. As things develop we may need to cease collections due to Government advice or contractor availability. We ask that you think carefully about the necessity to collect garden waste at this time and please refrain from lighting bonfires as most houses will now be occupied.

Cleaners/Helpers

As with gardeners, Individual cleaners or helpers are currently not being restricted and we would recommend you do not have more than one of these people in the house at the same time and take the recommended precautions.

Adhoc workers

Unless this is essential works i.e. emergency repairs, we would recommend holding off until the crisis is over. If you have to have workers in then again please observe the Government guidelines and also call the Brooklands gate 01932 830402 to ensure they can get in.

Building sites

At this time the Government has not restricted workers on building sites and therefore some will be continuing until that changes. Some responsible developers have already closed the sites to safeguard their staff and others. The Board of Directors will be guided by the Government advice and therefore works and deliveries will continue.

Tennis and Golf Clubs

We would remind you again that both clubs are on private land so please adhere to their requests not to walk on the golf course or allow children or pets to run around.

We would like to wish you all a safe few weeks and together we can all pick up where we left off in the weeks to come.

Gary Whalley

General Manager
