Dear Residents,

I would like to request your support to address the unacceptable level of dog fouling on the estate.

Walking the estate it is really disappointing to see the amount of dog excrement that is being left on the verges. Only this morning, I picked up the bag above, which had been discarded on the Cavendish Road verge.

Whilst it may only be a minority of irresponsible dog owners or their staff, it clearly is detracting from the beauty and appeal of the estate, presents a significant health risk and nuisance to other residents and the estate staff (especially as we enter the grass-cutting season), and is contrary to the Environmental Protection Act (which allows for penalties of up to £1,000).

On behalf of all residents, and in the interests of all, this is an issue I am keen to address as it is anti-social and deeply unpleasant.

The estate staff will challenge any incidents of dog fouling and follow-up as appropriate with those identified. We also request that if residents witness dog fouling, they report it to the estate office.

As I am sure all will agree, there is no excuse for leaving dog excrement on our verges or the estate roads.

Please support our initiative to tackle this issue by behaving appropriately, or reporting any incidents of dog fouling.

With many thanks,

Richard
