St George’s Business Park on Locke King Road and Brooklands Road

Dear Residents,

We wanted to take this opportunity to highlight that a developer (LEOS) has submitted two planning applications to Elmbridge Council for the redevelopment and conversion of the existing office buildings (on Locke King Road and Brooklands Road) to residential units.

One application seeks to build 18 houses and 168 flats, whilst the second application seeks to create a further 10 houses and 43 apartments.  Each application is listed at the links below:

Should residents wish to make a comment on the applications, they should do so by the closing date, which is the 8th September.

Possible grounds for objection include over-development of the site and the negative impact on the street scene, which risks an adverse impact on the character of the SGH estate. Concerns could also be raised in relation to the impact on the local infrastructure – from roads to local amenities and services.  It remains an individual resident’s decision as to what they wish to raise, and some may alternatively wish to write in support of the applications if they feel the development is appropriate.
